These look interesting and I was wondering if anyone has tried them. Basically it's a bit like the BLUE mics, accept only available as transformer-less or transformer based. I had heard about a tube version, but haven't seen it. They are built into a pencil mic instead of a full sized condenser. Available are SDC caps; including cardioid, hyper-cardioid, diffuse field omni, and omni. They also have lolipop capsules designed for favorite sonic signatures; LOL-12, LOL-67, LOL-47, LOL49, & LOL47. www.hybridmic.com/There are some clips available on Zen Pro's Clipalator. They sound fairly good. The LOL-67 sounds more like a U87. I really liked the Hypercardioid SDC cap sound. www.zenproaudio.com/clipalator

Wow. No one has anything to say about these? Haven't these been around for awhile? This was one of the first pieces of the puzzle that perked a few astute ears up as to the 3U Audio/ADK connection (3Z/3U...). That and ADK's propensity for talking up their 'Australian' PhD capsule wiz... I'd assume these are pretty good? Everything ADK I've tried has been quite solid.

Yep, Not bad just not wow! Not bad like Peluso or Advanced Audio not bad? Generally speaking, "not bad" means "pretty good" a.k.a. "Fair to middling" a.k.a. "decent" a.k.a. "quite acceptable". And adding the disclaimer "just not wow" would mean "not above average or bordering on excellent:. And this indeed seems to be a fair assessment.

Yep, Not bad just not wow! Not bad like Peluso or Advanced Audio not bad? They are useable but nothing special, not quite Advanced Audio quality. When you build a modular system all the individual personality of a mic is packed into the Capsule and these just don't hang with the Lawson or the Korby.

The Bottle Rocket Stage II isn't too bad, but is a little sterile. I don't really like the Stage one. Only using it in conjunction with their B4 (M50 style) cap in a decca tree. The Stage II I use with the B7 a lot. I also like the B8 and B6. I do think the Stage II is as good as my AA mics were. Different, but as usable.
