^ And free
Sometimes a dynamic eq is the wrong tool to use, sometimes it's exactly what you need

I really love the Melda Audio dynamic eq. Being able to side chain it is just awesome

Can someone explain how one would sidechain the new Sonnox EQ? I'm trying to use the vocal to duck the mid of an acoustic track.

Well, yeah. I watched the videos. I've been playing with it and it doesn't have the sidechain "key" in pro tools. Confrused

Yeah UAD ... pretty please... for that as much as they charge it's really annoying to not have that feature like all other companies.. oh yeah and the GR meters on plugs as well .. little things add up ...

The thing about UAD stuff though - for the most part - and just my opinion is they are juuuust enough better that I miss them when I don't use them. For instance - I demoed that SSL Bus Comp...has a nice HP SC and mix knob. I've got the waves (no hp or mix), the slate grey (doesn't sound the same) and a couple of others. Could I get by without it? Yes. Does it haunt me in my dreams? Yes.

UAD mostly sound more or less real and the modeling they do is damn good ... I wonder if plugin alliance is going to do a SSL Bus Comp plug since they just did the E channel ... Has anyone shot out the new UAD SSL mk2 channel vs the bx console E ?
