So many things he produced that just shockingly "stood out" in the midst of other productions of the time : Yes's "Owner of a lonely heart" and Seal's "Crazy". So weird, but I can distinctly remember the first time I heard both of those songs. How many producers have that kind of long term impact?

My favorite part was the very last line.. Paraphrasing, "You had no fun when you were manning the computer."

College gym parking lot for Owner and just outside the spa where my first ex-wife worked for Seal's Crazy

Are we forgetting ABC? The Buggles? RELAX? The man could produce and put his stamp on anything and it was simply a JAM!!!
But if we are going to talk about 90125 all I’m going to say is Change’s!

Nope. Poison Arrow!! But I don't remember where I was the first time I heard it. I do I just met this girl named Michelle, ended up dating her 3 years later! Trevor Horn, Daniel Lanios and Mitchell Froome were the 3 most played producers of my life in the 80’s !

Trevor Horn is my favorite producer. I always loved the sonic landscapes he created. I liked his work in Buggles and Drama from Yes was one of my favorite Yes albums too. He's an amazing talent. Sounds kind of dopey now, but my sons name is Trevor. Trevor Horn and Trevor Rabin had a bit of an impact on my musical career in a way. :-)

Sounds very cool, actually. Great way to show the inspiration you've found to your son.

No kids here but I like to call my cat "Machine."
That's mostly because she's a murder machine ... when it comes to the little bugs our old house lets in!
I only semi-recently realized that many of my favorite productions and albums were touched one way or another by Rich Costey, Mike Sapone, and Kurt Ballou with honorable mentions to Brian McTernan and Mark Trombino.
It's super interesting to find that stuff out years afterwards. I'm listening going "oh, dang! They did this one, too?!"

Huge Trevor Horn fan here!
The Buggles’ Age of Plastic is a masterpiece of synth pop!
And he produced an album of one of my favorite bands Belle & Sebastian that is one of my favorites of theirs- Dear Catastrophe Waitress (2003)
