A nice surprise.
Advised by my Luthier to ditch my B-Band Piezzeo becasue its old, and not on top of the time.
Today we swaped the pick ups.
B Band out KK Pure Mini in. Big surprise I thought all Piezzos would sound the same, but no.
Soon I will upgrade to the Trinty-Pro-System with internal microphone. I think its usable for studio work if you need fast and dirty results.
A nice invention from the USA....

I have a KK on my dobro and I agree. It sounds good !

Jupp. I was blown away... the B Band never was that good nor the older stuff known by Fishman had such a mellow attitude. Seems they are on a new way how to use passive Piezzos.

Apologizing for the belated response on this thread - I'm new 'round these parts. This is my first post, in fact.
Getting to the point, I owned a KK Dobro pickup, used on my 80's OMI era Dobro, a 14 fret Duolian model. This was approximately a decade ago, and frankly I was underwhelmed with the sound, which was kind of thin and uninspiring. Lived with it for a couple of months and sold it after I lucked into a Barcus Berry Hi Tek pickup. The Hi Tek is definitely the favored method for amplifying resonator guitars, as used by Chris Whitley and John Campbell just to name a couple of the better known proponents. I no longer own the Dobro, but I still own the Barcus Berry pickup. It currently resides on my National Delphi.
This is not to infer that KK isn't making an improved product a decade later!!
