Sure--it can work ProTools to Logic, but can it work across capitalist to socialist borders?
#joke
...see recent weird Waves thread.
This kind of thing is a problem on some different levels. What's it doing that an iPad on either end can't other than deliver mpeg quality audio? You know? Yet, no one does that....because (I think) part of the pricing is built in that I can do that work--be it overdub or mixing on my schedule. Still it could be useful....but, I saw the downloading the file into their Mac's Downloads and going through the import into the DAW, just like has happened for 15+ years of remote collaboration--the difference is that they there's a real time AV stream connection potentially mucking with the tracking DAW. VS having some kind of "stream to FaceTime"....that could merge it in with the live iThing mic....maybe a toggle on/off....
It's a good idea. Always has been....I've never seen the implementation actually work well for anything besides me mixing your work....and getting to the 99% place and having you connect in to hear it with real time discussion about "can we...?" --because there's nothing for anyone to import/export....download....just communication and when it's DONE, I give you finished file. So, I would see how that could be beneficial like that for sure. I would bet you that 80% of people reading this can't properly import/export from their DAW. I've developed redundant ways to ensure there's less of a chance for problem...but, this product not being able to tie into the project file makes me wonder why we're even using the DAW. Wouldn't it be easier to use Skype, FaceTime--whatever has the best audio streaming and "attach" to it somehow--like toggle like mic vs playback stream....thinking aloud....

Borders take away space from the print.
Actually, when Borders went out of business I bought a large crapload of CDs and books at a good discount.
Now all we have is Barnes & Noble.

popmannI just saw a thread on the purple site in their Logic Pro forum where someone said they wanted to screen share a LPX session. Not sure if that's what you mean??? Anyhow, one guy's solution that is working for him is a free-for-non-commercial-use video conferencing software called Teamviewer + an app called Audiomovers. "24 bit audio over the net with about 100ms latency. Totally usable. Insert the plugin in last slot of your 2 bus. It will then give you a url for your remote listener/mixer to listen to. We maintain a cell phone connection while mixing for comments/direction, etc ......."

I just knew there were solutions to stream your mix "live" to the client that some people use. Cell takes care of the interaction....some service gives a stereo stream from performer to producer.
